Tellus 360 this past Friday!
We had a GREAT time playing our music this past Friday night at Tellus 360!!! For me, there are few things that give me greater joy than performing music that is appreciated by those who are listening!!!! Thanks to one and all who were there.
Here’s a link to a little video footage from the night, https://www.facebook.com/tellus360/videos/1865019683511540/
Fewer gigs, more creative time!
The overall performance calendar gets slower this time of year… good by me as it would seem my music has found a home at gigs/events w plenty of sunshine, no shoes and green grass.
That means more time for songwriting, music making, drawing and overall creativity.
One such effort that I’m currently scheming is my second installment of “Guitartwork” (my artwork on guitars). Below are a couple of images from a much larger bunch I’m hopeful to have printed on to the face of a Telecaster we are considering building! Picture the guitar covered in faces like these.
I dunno know why, but I’ve always liked sugar skull art!!! I suppose it’s bc of all the burritos I’ve consumed!
More to come!!!
End of the OUTDOOR season of shows!
This past Saturday the 21st of October marked the end of our season of outdoor shows. It was a good and busy season with many a great gig. We are thankful it was capped off with a great gig at the Adams County Winery for their first ever SCRAPPLE FEST! That’s right… SCRAPPLE…and a FESTIVAL devoted to it. They even had a wine that was “Scrapple-eee”! (Not to be confused with Scrappy Doo…who was an ill conceived sidekick to the very lovable Scooby Doo!)
The gig calendar slows down a bit in these colder weather months. We do keep gigging here and there.. so do stay tuned to the shows page – www.markderosemusic.com/shows. This time of year brings with it some behind the scenes efforts of writing, rehearsing, booking and some down time…. which you will be updated on.
Oh yes… and do keep an eye out for the occasional masquerading as Yukon Cornelius and The Bumbles! (SEE December’s gig schedule)
Good Beer Fest!!!
We headed on down to Salisbury, Md this past Saturday for the Good Beer Fest and it’s name was accurate. Great event!!!!! Great stage and great crowd.
This young lady was the standout for us. Danced like crazy throughout our entire set. Pretty sure she was more entertaining than the music we were making. Such a sweetie… we gave her a big ol shout-out at the end of our set and the crowd went wild. To which she gracefully took a bow! Hopeful to see her again!
